UTA is a medium-early salad variety that can be marked for a very long time. It is robust and relatively modest.

VARIETY DESCRIPTION

  • firm-cooking with very good taste (remains stable even after long storage)
  • low tendency to discoloration after cooking and internal bruising
  • starch content 13 – 14 %
  • high tuber set
  • high tuber yield with uniform grading
  • PCN: Ro 1 (9), Ro 2/3 (7), Ro 5 (7), Pa 2 (8), Pa 3 (6)
  • PVY: medium
  • PLRV: very high
  • Foliage late blight: high – very high
  • Tuber late blight: high – very high

  • oval, bright, lightly netted skin

  • treatment against Rhizoctonia is recommended

N-Fertilization: up to 150 kg N/ha

P-Fertilization: 60 – 100 kg/ha

K-Fertilization: 250 – 300 kg/ha (in sulfate form)

Mg-Fertilization: 60 – 80 kg/ha (very important!)

foliar fertilization once with trace nutrients recommended

  • no recognizable sensitivity to metribuzin
  • normal spraying sequences against late blight and early blight
  • 2 – 3 weeks after haulm killing without any problems
  • not sensitive to mechanical damage and less susceptible to black spotting
  • very good dormancy
